Darin’s key roles are to help shepherd and develop the Reign Ministries team as well as help shape and carry out the youth ministry training initiatives. Joy uses her teaching gifts to train youth ministers and help young people in the church community grow. She gives much of her time to discipling young women in the community, hosting the many people who come in and out of her home, and taking on key projects.
Darin and Joy met while attending Cedarville University, and grew to know each other through a summer mission experience proposed by their mutual friend Kyle McKinnon. They both finished their degrees (Darin BA Religion) (Joy BA Communications), and went on to seminary (Darin MDiv Trinity Evangelical Divinity School) (Joy MA Christian Education Grand Rapids Theological Seminary) for further training. During this time, Darin served in a church and continued to develop his friendship with Kyle and hear about his vision for youth ministry.
Darin and Joy were married in 2000. They moved to Bicester in 2003 to join Kyle in developing the vision. They have two children, Ella and Kiera.
